I had this experience just last summer. I was stress-eating for a little too long, and the scale told me so. My only two options were either to complain or do something about it. I decided to do something, and I haven’t regretted a second of it. On the other hand, it took retraining my way of thinking, which is not the easiest thing to do but is never impossible.
Excuses for Weight Loss …
Before, I had so many excuses: I didn’t have the time or the energy to work out or eat healthily. If I was dieting, I had to cook something different for the kids. These circumstances were all true—and valid—but how badly did I want to feel better and be healthier? How badly did I want to lose weight and feel better about myself? To say ‘yes’ to a better you, you may need to say ‘no’ to something else. Saying ‘yes’ to a more vibrant you and your health journey will improve every area of your life.
